SpaceX is providing free Starlink internet terminals and service as LA wildfire response, along with Direct-to-cell texting for T-Mobile.

T-Mobile US and Starlink turned up their direct-to-cellular service in areas of California impacted by wildfires.

SpaceX has provided Starlink terminals to areas in Los Angeles that have been affected by the wildfires. Taking to X last night, SpaceX founder Elon Musk said the space company is providing free Starlink terminals to affected areas in the Californian city.

The direct-to-cell Starlink system in Southern California will deliver wireless emergency alerts and power SMS texting to 911 services.

As fires rage in California, Musk announced that SpaceX will supply free Starlink terminals to impacted areas in Los Angeles.

The SpaceX founder said on Wednesday night that the rocket company would provide the terminals to areas hit by the huge wildfires.

SpaceX will donate free Starlink dishes to victims of the wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles. "SpaceX will provide free Starlink terminals to affected areas in LA tomorrow morning," CEO Elon Musk tweeted late last night.
